Great turnout at the first Bristol Explorers evening – Update
A BIG thank you to those that came to the first Bristol Explorers Drinks night.
Wow, what a fantastic night! It seems the West of England boasts some of the world’s most extraordinary explorersand record-breaking adventurers. It was a pleasure to meet so many inspiring people and catch up with some good friends.
A special thank you goes to The Square Club who kindly sponsored the complimentary bubbly on arrival and to Nomad who very kindly provided the 10% off vouchers to those attending Thursday’s event.
As well as being great fun, some wonderful opportunities were also fostered on the night.
- 2 expeditions each acquired a new member for their team
- 2 explorers were snapped up by a talent agency
- A world-record holder has found a new webmaster
- … and it looks like one explorer might even have found a new sponsor!

The Next Event will be held on the 15th December. If you would like to have your photographs added to the background slideshow (a great talking point) please do send me up to 10 photos (using picasa) and they will be included at the event in December. If you have any other requests for the evening please do get in touchwith me asap.
I’m back off to the Middle East on Friday, but I’ll be back just in time for the second Bristol Explorers Drinks. Until then, safe travels.
